It’s time to express yourself! We know how much you love customizing your contest pages so we decided to offer you the ability to customize your profile page too. Some people like keegansmommy and her beautiful pink flower profile, Deverie’s simple black profile, or princess and her pink polka dots have already got into it. Personally, I like my own profile which I call Spring Grasses. What better way to kickoff a new feature than with a contest? So I created the Most Creative Custom Profile contest. Winner receives a $100 Amazon gift certificate! To get started customizing click “Customize Profile” while viewing your own profile.

But wait that’s not all! We also launched a new feature that lets you control the email alerts you receive from your friends on Votigo. You can choose how frequently you receive alerts or not receive them at all. My favorite option is the Daily Digest which sends one email a day with all the updates from your friends. To make changes to your email options click “Edit Email Preferences” in the My Stuff section of your profile.

Finally, we always talk about the sponsored contests but we have some amazing user-generated contests going on right now too.

Earlier this week we launched two exciting new sponsored contests. The first, in partnership with the new online mini-series Prom Queen created by Michael Eisner’s (yes, that Michael Eisner) Vuguru studio is the Most Outrageous Dress Photo Contest with the winner taking home $250 for a new prom dress. The second contest is for The Motley Fool CAPS. For this contest users get to vote for their favorite Fool-produced 27-second stock pitch, then create their own pitch and enter it into the 27-Second Stock Pitch Contest for a chance to win $5,000!
