Candidates must be well versed in HCI principles and have excellent visual design skills, a sense of today's trends and the ability to produce solid results while maintaining a close attention to the details.

Responsibilities:

• Report to and collaborate with a creative director to produce Flash design for our web site, widgets, and client sites.
• Coordinate with creative director, designers, product manager, developers and writer to make sure visual design adheres to product requirements.
• Ensure visual design works in the Web environment.
• Adhere to agreed-upon delivery schedule coordinated with project management.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Flash design experience, primarily focusing on UI design solutions for professional Web and interactive products with a consumer-oriented audience.
• 3+ years of web design experience.
• Proven knowledge of Actionscript.
• Deep experience collaborating with product management, engineering and other designers.
• Expertise in producing Web ready files, including basic animation.
• Skills in Adobe Creative Suite required; knowledge of Flash a plus.
• Expert-level understanding of print and computer design and typography.
• A solid comprehension of information design, HTML, capabilities of browsers and design constraints on the Web.
• Expertise in HCI principles and Web design best practices.
• Experience leading design concepts and presenting those ideas to the team.
• A passion for building great consumer Internet products and hands-on experience doing it.
• A degree or training in a design-related field.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Passion for building high-quality products.
• A friendly, positive attitude.
• Able to work productively with minimal supervision, and with remote co-workers.
• Able to work well under pressure and able to meet aggressive deadlines.
• Able to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Significant experience working on a high-availability consumer web application.
• Ability to prioritize and establish aggressive milestones and results.
• Self starter / high energy, deadline-driven, dependable and can deliver results with aggressive deadlines.
• Strong performer who can thrive in a rapidly changing and dynamic company with positive can-do attitude.
• Clear track record of getting things done and an execution focus.
• Attention to detail, hands on, team player (flexible with assignments), and can-do attitude.
